GIA FAQs

Q. What is the GIA Diamond Dossier®?

A. The GIA Diamond Dossier® is the diamond grading and inscription registry service from GIA Gem Trade Laboratory for diamonds weighing less than 1.00 carat on the GIA D to Z grading scale. It is available to clients at up to 41 percent less than existing grading and inscription fees. The GIA Diamond Dossier® service includes the laser inscription of your diamond's unique GIA Report number on the girdle. While the acquisition of a diamond is the ultimate symbol of love, it also represents a major investment in time, energy and money. You need and deserve to feel confident in your decision and in the integrity of what you've acquired. With any GIA Report (including the GIA Diamond Grading Report™ and the GIA Diamond Dossier®) you receive the jewelry industry's most respected impartial assessment of quality and authenticity. And that brings peace of mind. The GIA Diamond Dossier® comprises a contemporary design and incorporates state of the art security features that exceed document industry guidelines.
