My GIA

Thank you for your interest in GIA’s Career Services Department.  Our goal is to bring together employers offering career opportunities, and our professionally trained students and alumni, who range in experience from entry level to seasoned management.  To attain this goal, we provide free services for job seekers and employers.

The Career Services Department maintains a database of jobs currently available in the jewelry industry, to view the database click here. Updated regularly, this database provides information about career opportunities with U.S. and international companies.  This list includes wholesalers, department stores, jewelry designers, auction houses, gem laboratories, and many more facets of the industry.  Employers are able to submit entries of positions available in their company and those interested in finding employment in the jewelry industry are encouraged to view these opportunities. In addition to our complete database, the Career Services staff maintains a list of companies seeking temporary trade show help.  Those interested in temporary employment at jewelry industry trade shows are encouraged to view the list click here and contact companies of interest directly.

For GIA graduates and Alumni only, Career Services offers Career Preparation assistance, including assistance in resume, cover and thank you letter writing, and answering questions about interviewing.  Our helpful staff is happy to assist job applicants with applying for positions.

In addition to these daily services, GIA hosts two Career Fairs  annually.  Held on both coasts, New York and at our headquarters in Carlsbad, California, the event hosts some of the industry’s top retailers, manufacturers, laboratories, and wholesalers.  As the jewelry industry’s largest Career Fairs, it is a great chance to network with the industry’s top companies, and to gain information about current trends and opportunities.

Thank you for taking the time to find out about GIA’s Career Services Department.  We play a valuable role in the jewelry industry by helping qualified individuals find careers in this ever-changing profession.  GIA will continue to be on top of these trends by providing its students with the best education available.  Please feel free to contact us if we can assist you further.
