Sorting It All Out: GIA’s Pearl Report and Industry Opportunities

GIA's GemFest Basel was held Saturday, April 14, 2007 in the Montreal Hall, at the Basel Convention Center

More than 260 people listened as Ken Scarratt, Director of Research, GIA Thailand, introduced GIA's new pearl report. Attendees also heard the panel of cultured pearl industry leaders' discussion of the impact and opportunities it creates. 

"I've just returned from Baselworld and it's been an incredibly busy week full of stunning gems, jewelry and fascinating people with interesting stories. The panelists at the GemFest were really impressive. I'm sure this is a very rare opportunity to see and hear all these 'pearl guys' in one place at the same time," said Doris Gerber, of Zurich, Switzerland.
