The GIA Endowment Fund
The GIA Endowment is a permanent fund that provides a perpetual source of income for critical programs and services offered to you by GIA. All financial contributions to the fund are invested and never spent. The interest earned will be used to support the non-profit mission-driven activities GIA provides: education, research, the library and the museum, all of which run at a deficit and depend on charitable contributions to continue to work.
By sustaining specific programs such as diamond treatment and synthetic research, student scholarships, the GIA Alumni Association or the museum collection, you and the industry will benefit by helping to safeguard the public’s confidence and trust.
There are a variety of ways to make contributions to the Endowment Fund. Most donors prefer cash gifts and pledges. You may also become a member of GIA’s prestigious Legacy Society by including GIA in your will, trust, or estate plan. Or you may wish to memorialize a friend, loved one or colleague by creating a scholarship in his or her name. Naming opportunities are also excellent ways to make contributions, while benefiting from the permanent recognition you and your company will receive.
For more information on making a generous contribution to the Endowment Fund, please call Linda Ellis, vice president and chief advancement officer, (800) 421-7250 ext. 4125, or e-mail at linda.ellis@gia.edu.
